| Presentation | Paul Hodgetts, owner of North Yarmouth Auto Body Repair, was introduced as a new member. His auto business provides collision, frame, welding, and rust repair. His contact number is 207-829-5340. He does free estimates, pricing usually ends up being lower than the larger auto body shops. |
| Discussion | North Yarmouth Veterans Park — In 1949 Henry Sweetser formed a non profit corporation and gave five acres of land in the center of Town. A memorial to local veterans was erected. The Town has been paying the cost of electricity, and also to maintain the corporation status, as well as minor maintenance. Now the Town is interested in making decisions about how to use the land. Veteran NYBA members Thad Day, Paul Hodgetts, and Darla Hamlin have formed a group to elect officers, resurrect the corporation for the purpose of making decisions about the future of the park.
Emails: We need to improve our communications with members, and reminders about our meetings. Action Item: Mary and Leslie will get conference called with Constant Contact, to see if that is something that would fit this need. Thad will try to be in on that conference call. Trade Show: March 7, 2014 will be the date. Skyline Farm is at the top of our list providing we can figure out how to heat the exhibition space. A decision on the trade show venue will be made by Nov. 30th. Upcoming deadlines: secure Location Nov 30th. Email blast inviting members to Annual Meeting and Trade Show Motion made and passed to spend up to $650 for a venue, to include cost of space, rental of heat equipment and fuel. Action Items: Thad will inquire about use of NYMS and the Congregational Church by the end of this week. Rob Taisey will investigate how to heat the space by Nov 26th. Leslie Taisey will pull together a budget for Trade Show for the purpose of determining registration fee. Membership renewals, Thad will talk with Anderson Landscaping and Toddy Brook about dues payment. Those members currently outstanding, Anderson, Toddy Brook, Joe Lucey Carpentry and Tender Years. Annual Meeting: will be held on January 9, 2014 5:30 pm at Toddy Brook. It was moved and voted to spend $50 on food if 12 members or less attend. If more than 12 attend, an added $50 can be spent on food.
