Pre meeting discussion focused on Town resuming billing local businesses for personal property tax, and TIF districts. Darla called meeting to order at 6:10 pm.
Thad Day introduced Mark Woronoff, new Associate Attorney at his law office. Mark holds a Masters of Law designation, LLM since 2015. This is a level above a Juris Doctor. His focus will be on structuring individuals holdings toward retirement, so that integration with Medicare doesn’t diminish someone’s assets.
Tracy Cunning is interested in NYBA and hopes to open an office in North Yarmouth within a year. She has been associated with Edward Jones for several years and is now a licensed advisor.
Business Meeting:
Treasurer reports balance currently $3809.29.
Trade show venue, costs of sponsorship, and the decision was made to postpone the trade show to a later date, Spring 2020, perhaps when the new Westcustogo is complete. Darla will talk with the Town to determine if we can schedule a firm date in the new facility. Many members just didn’t have enough lead time to meet the May 3rd date.
Marilyn Matthews will contact Chris at Toddy Brook to cancel trade show date. We will still have the annual meeting 5/16/19 at Toddy Brook.
Thaddeus will review nominating bylaws to make sure we have adequate time prior to meeting. He and Scott Kerr comprise the nominating committee.

Thad Day is the President elect of the Maine Bar Assn. to be effective 1/1/2020. Congratulations Thad.
Darla’s company Soft Trac LLC was recognized by its vendor, Community Brands, for being first in MIP Cloud subscription sales for the month of March, 2019. Community Brands is the leading provider of cloud-based software to associations, nonprofits, faith-based groups and K-12 schools.
We will again have the June, July and August meetings be social only, with no speakers and a soft agenda, still to meet third Thurs of each month.
Thad also mentioned there will be a ceremony and new statue unveiling at Memorial Park at 3:00 pm on 5/27/19.
